R & B Maternity Session | Massachusetts

Sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate for us as photographers! We always hope for that dreamy golden sunset, but mother nature doesn’t care what we want- she does whatever she feels like! Luckily, we have some options! So, what do you do when mother nature decided to be uncooperative? Luckily, we have a few options!

Rescheduling to a beautiful sunny day is always an available choice! But, what happens if you can’t reschedule? Thank Gosh for Plan B! Even though I don’t have a studio, I do have full access to a brewery! Yay for indoor options! As magical as the sunset is, we can still create magic without it. The brewery provides a rustic, wooden space with beautiful windows and scenery that overlooks our farm. 

When R booked her long awaited maternity session, she naturally dreamed of a beautiful golden hour session. However, the weather had other plans. As her session quickly approached, we realized that the weather was not going to be in our favor. R’s schedule would only allow for this day and it was inevitably going to snow and rain. Luckily, we were able to move the session into the brewery! Sometimes, we just have to go with the flow and roll with the punches. 

This session was all we could have hoped for. We were able to take a few stunning shots near one of the big windows, with a beautiful natural background. Then, outside we went for some dreamy snow photos before the rain came. It was a little slippery and snowy outside, but it made for great photos and we had fun!! We captured B spinning R around for some great movement shots. My favorite part of the entire shoot was thatR was visibly glowing and you could tell how happy her and B were to become parents! I’m sure for them, April can’t come soon enough.
